After growing up and attending college in Minnesota, I couldn’t wait to move to NYC and work in economic consulting. Minnesota began to feel small, almost suffocating, and moving to the big apple proved to be a clear solution. During my time in college, I studied abroad three times in Costa Rica, England/Spain, and Myanmar/Thailand. The first time that I had left the United States was for my study abroad program in Costa Rica. It was during these study abroad experiences that I realized that I needed to leave Minnesota and I needed to explore the world.
Currently, I have moved from NYC to Yangon, Myanmar. I’m teaching middle school social studies, learning Burmese, and continuing my passion for travel. I hope you join me as I blog and photograph about food, culture, and destinations while traveling and living as an expat.
