The Time I Touched a Monk

We were taking a cruise along the Irrawaddy River.  For one of the stops on the cruise, we visited a 200-year-old pagoda.  We climbed to the top of the pagoda to get views of the area.  There weren’t set paths to get to the top of the pagoda so you had to do a little climbing.  On my way up, I accidentally brushed my hand along the hand of a monk.  Monk’s aren’t supposed to touch women; women cannot even hand an item to a monk.  To make matters worse, as I tried to continue to climb the pagoda, my elephant pants ripped right in front of the monks.  At least the views were worth all of this….
